Using a shoe protector spray helps maintain the leather on shoes. This is a waterproof spray. It protects all types of leather from water, snow and steins, within reason. 

If you are planning to wear leather shoes where they are likely to get sodden please refrain from wearing your best leather shoes as it will harm the leather by extracting the natural oils that keep the leather soft and supple. 

Use a rubber brush on worn shoes before spraying. Spray evenly and preferably with 2 coats. Top-up sprays can be applied if you're wearing the shoes alot and if they get rained on once they have dried out.
