Christmas Day Style Guide

Ladies, it's time to plan your Christmas day outfit. It's now under two weeks till the big day and there's just enough time to hit your favourite high street store or order your chosen style choice online.

Now this Christmas is a little different, it is 2020 after all. So literally anything goes - whatever makes you happy! Stand your ground and cook the Christmas dinner in your heels and LBD if that's what your heart wants. It's also ok to wear your favourite Christmas PJs and slippers all day.

We've pulled together our edit of favourite looks from some of our favourite brands and of course, picked the perfect shoes to compliment them.

Sparkly Heels and a LBD

Shoes: Made The Edit Thelma Black Suede Sparkle £185. Bag: Made The Edit Luxe Designers Silver Metallic Crossbody Scallop Bag £139. Dress: Reiss was £185 now £70. Coat: Flannels was £380 now £304. Necklace: Jeulia £299.

If you're glam no matter what you can't beat a little black dress. They're so chic and classic and we love how flattering this off the shoulder bodycon dress is from Reiss.

When it comes to the LBD adding accessories is everything. Let the little extras do the talking. Our sparkly Thelma Black Suede heels and silver metallic cross body bag definitely add some Christmas magic. There is never such a thing as too much sparkle that's for sure!

Cosy Christmas Jumper and Boots

Boots: Made The Edit Anonymous Teddi Black £250. Bag: Made The Edit Luxe Designers Sophia Black Tassel Bag £109. Necklace: Made The Edit Azuni Lone Star Lapis Lazuli Necklace £86. Jumper: Monsoon £60. Jeans: Net-A-Porter £180.

The Christmas jumper has been huge for the last decade, and many families don the tackiest ones they can find for the big day. We've opted to keep it slightly more tasteful with this pretty sequin star jumper from Monsoon. Pair it with a classic pair of skinnies and our gorgeous comfy Teddi boot.

Don't forget to accessorise! The Sophia Black Tassel Bag makes a gorgeous clutch. Or match it with a bag strap for a more laid back casual look. The Azuni necklace is a dreamy addition to the star theme.

Sequin Trousers and Metallic Heels

Shoes: Made The Edit x Alberto Zago Lola Platinum £190. Bag: Made The Edit Luxe Designers Stefano Turco Studs Grey crossbody £159. Jumper: Brora £298. Trousers: Ralph Lauren £249.

Every party season we see the sequin trend roll back around. But take a leap and ditch the sequin dress for something shimmery from the waist down.

The key here is to pair them with other fabrics - so you're not a head-to-toe glitter ball (unless that's the look you're going for)! We've added a cashmere jumper which would look fab with a half-tuck.

For the shoe, we've chosen Lola Platinum. We love that they're slip ons, so you'll still see some skin (or your Christmas toenails!) to break up the outfit.

PJs and Slippers

Slippers: Made The Edit Hug Metallic suede leather slippers Caramel £79. Scrunchie: Made The Edit Wouf Hair Scrunchie Leopard (pack of 2) £16. PJs: Yolke £145.

Permission to spend Christmas day in your pajamas or loungewear granted! If cosy and comfy is what you need then cosy and comfy is what you'll get. We still think Pjs can be classy though, so we've opted for this amazing leopard print two piece from Yolke.

Put your hair up in a messy pony with our leopard print scrunchie and treat your feet to these super warm slippers with sheep fur lining. You'll also feel good wearing them knowing the sole is made from recycled materials including almond shell.

Whatever you wear, enjoy your Christmas day and we hope you have a happy new year.
